Can I just say that the Apple ipod is a five hundred dollar piece of shit. And never use MusicMatch Jukebox. And now if I try to get the damn thing fixed it'll cost me money. It takes everything I have not to throw it against a wall. Fuck technology, give me a fishing poll and a six pack and you can keep your fancy, useless, waste-of-time toys. (/venting)

Well, one day into it and I already have reached problems. I went up to Phil Staling's (where I bought the Monte) and asked a sales rep about where I could find parts. He said with a car this new I could still gets parts form Chevy. Cool. Well, I next went to Advanced to get some wiper blades. Again no problem. Then I went to put some coolant in it and found the tank was empty. This is not a good thing. After filling it up and driving back to school I have found that a hose leading from the radiator to the engine is slowly leaking. Its probably a crack in the line, not suprising in a car as old as the Monte, and it isn't as expensive as a new radiator, but it still is a pain in the ass.
Well, today I start my journey towards turning the Monte Carlo into a full fledged show car. It'll be three or four years before I can say she is a classic, but why not turn that direction now? Being part of the Monte Carlo owners association has given me contacts that I wouldn't normally have, and it really gave me the impetus to get 'er going. My real dream would be to own a 1970-73 model with a 454, but that's a way down the road. I wouldn't even mind putting a 454 in my '87, but that would mean a new engine and tranny among other things. Still, 500 horsepower seems like a lot of fun, doesn't it?

I'm back with some new links on the sidebar. I put up a link to the best album review site on the net for classic rock. I might not always agree with everything the guy says, but he makes up for it with a huge archive of albums and an intelligent look at the music he is reviewing. Secondly there is the obligatory ESPN link. There might be other good sports sights out there, but you always have to come back to the place where the real experts are.

After a year or more of following blogs by different people necessity and desire have come together and this is the bastard result. Apart from the assignments I am given to write about on this blog (it is school related) I plan, and that is very tentative, to contribute my own useless thoughts. We'll see how things go. In the meantime make sure you catch the Cincy/Louisville game tonight. Louisville needs to make sure that they show Cincy that they aren't invincible.
